Skjóta is an opera that lasts as long as a football match, performed in Ásmundarsalur together with an installation. The project evolves around football and climate change and how a football half-time can be a metaphor for the time of climate decision-making.

Oratorio de Noel by Saint-Saëns
Chamber Choir of Seltjarnarneskirkja perform Oratorio de Noel by Saint Saëns along with a chamber orchestra. Conductor: Stefan Sand. Soloists are Vera Matsdóttir soprano, Kristín Sveinsdóttir mezzo soprano, Hildigunnur Einarsdóttir alto, Eggert Reginn Kjartansson tenor and Gunnlaugur Bjarnason.

Welcome to an exhibition opening on Friday 26 January at 20h00 in Hafnarhús.
Vitamin D is an extra dose of creative energy from the contemporary art scene here in Iceland. This exhibition gathers a selection of emerging artists and their new and recent works in the spirit of Reykjavík Art Museum‘s annual exhibition series in D-Gallery. Following the recent occasion of the 50th exhibition in the series, we depart from the usual routine, with works extending beyond the walls of D-Gallery and spreading across the upper part of Hafnarhús.
Vera Matsdóttir is a performer in video art work by Sigrún Gyða Sveinsdóttir.
Final master recital
Vera Matsdóttir soprano along with Carolien Drewes pianist, perform music by Schubert, Schumann, Kurt Weil, Händel, Mozart, Massenet as well as other by composers in Studio 1, Amare in Royal Conservatoire The Hague on the 17th of January at 17:30 - 18:50.
Special guest performer: Miguel Ongay, clarinetist.
The recital is the final milestone towards receiving a master degree in classical music, vocal studies from Royal Conservatoire The Hague.
